Peter after the spoof! |

Extra plays "Martial Arts for the MIND"
Last Friday afternoon I got involved in the filming for
The Friday Night Project. This was one of their
setups and Steven Seagal was their bait.
They
had set up a spoof seminar about "Martial Arts of the
Mind" where telekinesis would be demonstrated. Having
"proved" the effect he dragged some people out of the
audience (including the victim) and had them try it.
Needless to say, it only worked for the poor sap being
set up. Supposedly impressed by his abilities Seagal had
him try to "heal" the audience. When he tried the whole
audience started to moan spit up blood and generally
die! The horrified victim wondered what the hell was
going on. Then he was told and we all miraculously came
back to life.
I have to say that blood capsules taste revolting (I had
4 of them that day). On the way home I got funny looks
from the people at McDonalds because I had "blood" all
down my shirt and some residue on my face and on my
teeth. I said that I wasn't sure why I was there as I
hadn't long eaten! That should leave them wondering for
a while. The show should air on 9th February
2007.
I am slowly
beginning to get some success with the media business
and have been in Dalziel and Pascoe, plus Doctors. I
have been on the discussion program X-Forum on Legal TV
and you already know about my appearance on The Friday
Night Project. I am keeping my options open and am
registered with three agents and am on three other
databases. I was at an audition for a BBC science
program the other night, it is apparently all very
hush-hush at the moment to the point of it not having a
title yet. This will be expenses only but lots of
exposure and something else for my CV.

Child Model is Booked for Commercials and a TV Show
Dean’s
career did a complete turnaround because of Broadcast
Support, and his mother wrote to tell us about it: "Dean
booked his first feature film through a Broadcast
Support contact. Thanks to his Broadcast Support show
reel, Dean now has many regional and several national
commercials to his name and has modelled for companies
such as Asda, GUESS, Nike, GAP, Argos and many others.
He completed his second feature film last December and
landed a starring role on a Channel 4 TV show."

‘I must admit I didn’t see myself as photogenic-but I needed a change of
direction so the first step was getting my Publicity shots taken at the Fame
Factory Studios-since then I’ve been working non-stop. My first assignment was
for ‘Smallkid’ designs who were commissioned by ‘3 Phones’ for an advertising
campaign. It was quite a long day- but I got paid £1200 for it. I was a bit
nervous at first but the other two girls who were selected were really helpful-
and we all had a really great day! I would definitely recommend Broadcast
Support to anyone who needs some publicity’!

Presenters
For a few years my wife Julie and I wanted to explore our
potential and the possibilities of working in Film and
Television, but we were put off by the costs of professional
coaching in London. In 2002 my job brought us to the East
Midlands and a friend told us about Broadcast Support. Truth
be told we didn’t understand how they helped people get
placements as Actors, Voice Artists and TV Presenters. After
our friend told us he landed a role introducing a factual
programme on satellite TV-we called Broadcast Support to
find out more. After meeting the Broadcast Support team at
the studios it began to make more sense to us. They were
extremely professional and we decided to record a demo show
reel. A few weeks later we landed our first placement in a
TV Show – and the deals just kept coming-one after another.
We have earned considerably more than we would in our usual
jobs, from film and TV deals, Voice Over’s and TV
adverts. We don’t class ourselves as professional Actors or
full time TV Presenters yet, but we are making money while
working towards our goal. Broadcast support provided us with
quality training and an excellent way to promote ourselves.
We are now represented by 6 agents listed in the Broadcast
Support member’s area. Each one represents us in a different
area and they send us around twenty assignments a week to
consider. We can choose to apply for all of them or none at
all! Since we both have full time jobs our evenings and
weekends can be very busy.

On the Road to Fame
‘’I was selected from my show reel to play the role of a
man called Roy Bartlett who was 9 years of age during
world war 2.
He wrote a book about London during the war called ‘’A
Little Boys War’’. I’m actually 13 and asked Roy if we
could call the film ‘’A Boys War’’ and he agreed!
We’ve been shooting scenes for the Film during the
school holidays and I’ve earned some money towards a new
quad bike already.

I saw the advert for Broadcast Support, and
decided to give it a try.
With the information given to me by Broadcast Support as a
member, I have just started out with "extra" and walk
on parts in the soap 'Doctors'.
I have also started to get work for a new series being
worked on by Channel 4. (I can't disclose details due to
contract agreements). All I can say is that it will be like
footballers wives.
I have also featured several in
'Emmerdale' and also
‘Daziel
and Pascoe’ The latest is the 'Emmerdale'
Christmas special a one hour long production. I am playing a
forensic officer, so look out for me in the white suit.
In addition I have had a walk on part in the BBC Afternoon
plays (Pieces of a Silver lining)
I have now gone further and I am now registered as a Peter
Waterman double. Just been used at Granada Studios on a
special production being done by Peter Kaye the comedian.
(Can't give details as still in production).... watch this
space for full details.
So if you want that work, get down to see the staff at
Broadcast Support NOW, for the tools to do the business.
