The Broadcast Support acting studios are situated in the heart of Nottingham in the vibrant and stimulating Fame Factory building. With world class facilities and a distinguished team of industry professionals to hand- our aim is to advance standards in actor training.
The course has been designed to offer people who might not otherwise have considered acting- a part-time programme, which is both comprehensive and accessible.
All of the resources at the centre are designed to provide the key skills and marketing tools required for actors to achieve employment in the profession. Recent visitors to the studios can be seen in UK film and television on a daily basis.

Training

Members receive rigorous and disciplined training developed to achieve confidence and success in the workplace.
We aim to inspire and encourage actors to respect acting as a craft. The lessons are method based but allow the freedom to observe common sense and brighten individual talent.
Group members are taught to disappear inside the characters discovered through the exploration of modern plays. The course teaches acting in relation to modern drama and helps a student to recognise the differences between acting for stage and screen. We focus on some of the essential skills needed to create powerful on-screen performances. You will learn what is required to work quickly and under pressure to deliver a believable performance for prime time television.

All group members will get an opportunity to practice in front of the camera with scenes from television soaps and films. Through rehearsal, recording and reviewing you will learn practical skills that will help you create vibrant characters in front of the camera.
